Aubrey Plaza

Aubrey Plaza is an actress and comic born on June 26, 1984. She plays April Ludgate, a character on Parks and Recreation. Her web series debut was the Jeannie Tate Show after she performed sketch, improv and slapstick at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater Plaza. In her later career she went on to star in Judd Apatow Funny People, Scott Pilgrim and The World. Today is her birthday. Aubrey Christina Plaza (born in Wilmington in Delaware) is the daughter of Bernadette Plaza who is an attorney by profession, and David Plaza a financial consultant. The daughter is of Puerto Rican parents and an Irish-English mother. Plaza earned a degree from the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts as well as a Catholic all-girls high school in 2006, after graduating in 2002. The year she completed her senior year in high school, she served as President of the Student Council at her all-girls Catholic school and took part in Wilmington Drama League performances. Plaza suffered a stroke in 2004, while she was studying at a college. She was diagnosed with expressive aphasia and suffered a brief period of paralysis. Her recovery is complete. Plaza started performing improv, sketch comedy, and a range of other styles at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater New York City in 2004. The Laugh Factory, The Improv and the Laugh Factory in N.Y.C. are among the venues where she did stand-up comedy. Plaza starred in E.S.P.N.'s Mayne Street as Robin Gibney, The Jeannie Tate Show with Ben Schwartz and also the premiere Terrible Decisions episode. On CollegeHumor's Troopers she was the Princess, a satirical sci-fi character. In 2014, Plaza was the first to debut a saxophone on Cassorla's Bona Fide. However, she first appeared in Father John Misty's Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings from 2012. While she was Hawaiian Coffee, she appeared on The HarmonQuest's HarmonQuest 2016 as a Gnome. The same year she portrayed Aaron Burr In Drunk History as well as Cat Adams in Season 11 of the C.B.S. Criminal Minds is a television series. The actress's role was revived by her on Season 12. In the following year she was confirmed to appear on An Evening of Beverly Luff Linn, an indie comedy.
