Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 until Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is an unassuming community that is located on the West Island, which is part of the Montreal island. It is the West Island, to those who don't know about it, is a large section that extends from Lachine until the west. Amanda Brugel was born there, but her time was not long in the city. Brugel grew up in Courtice outside Oshawa Ontario. She had a dream to become professional, however due to an explosive increase in her height, she surpassed all of her dance colleagues. In an article published by Toronto Star, she revealed that in heels she was six feet and one inch tall. When I grew out of male companions, I stopped. The former dancers usually turn into acting and Brugel was no exception. The drama instructor at her high school pushed Brugel in the direction she was looking for. The teacher encouraged her to try out for roles in her school's production. Following a trial, she ended up as the leading lady for Anne of Green Gables. It was her turn to be awarded an Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to take part in York University's Theater Program, where she graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Through the years since Brugel has landed roles in over 60 plays on both small and large screens attracting the most attention after she was cast as Rita in the award-winning television series The Handmaid's Tale (pictured below). Brugel was the sole Canadian part of the cast on the show in Season 1 of the series. She was only seen occasionally.
